The Bell 505 type rating qualifies the holder to fly the Bell 505 helicopter as pilot-in-command.

The training consists of fourteen hours of classroom instruction and five hours of flight training on a Bell 206 helicopter.

During the training, participants will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge for flying the Bell 505 helicopter. The flight training includes practice in various maneuvers, including level flight, circling, landing, and takeoff. Special emphasis is placed on handling emergencies and special situations.
